• Sep 17, 2022: “We stayed in Aspen #50 with Lush Accommodations and had an incredible view of the valley and more than 40 peaks. The accommodation was clean and fully furnished. Perhaps too much furniture as the apartment was cosy but difficult to move around in due to size of furnishings. The bedrooms are small and just enough space for one suitcase. The one bathroom was an ok size but things did a bit crowded with three people. Hot tub was a nice addition for sunsets. Overall we enjoyed our stay at the apartment but found the area to be lacking in any life what so ever. The entire base village of the ski lift is off season and deserted. Nothing is open except for the general store which closes at 6pm. Kicking horse is around 15km away from town so making a dinner run into town isn't a given. Bring everything you need because there are no restaurants open at Kicking horse past 4pm and the two spots that opened for lunch were very underwhelming. Our time in Revelstoke felt like a big city compared to Kicking Horse which was super deserted. Lastly, IF YOU HAVE A DOG, AVOID Golden as there is a silly law that doesn't allow dogs anywhere near a restaurant in Golden . Never felt so dog unfriendly anywhere else in the world to this degree. NO dogs on mountain trails, lifts, decks, or really anywhere.” 0
• Sep 13, 2022: “Don't come here in September this place is a ghost town on top of the hill with nothing open. They must reduce the capacity of the hotel to make it seem at capacity when booking. Fair enough in the off season, but activities centre, not open, in house general store, not open, gondolas, not operating for hiking or Mt bikes. Ghost town, you'll have to go to town for food or cook on a camp stove on the patio” 1
• Aug 28, 2022: “We took this gondola rather than the others available in the Rockies on advice from our guidebook and were not disappointed. The views are incredible. It wasn't busy at all, lots of walks ar the top. We saw the grizzly bear as we went up which was a bonus but you can go to a talk about Boo the bear. The little shops and bars at the resort near tge accommodation are also brilliant. ” 2
