We happened to be there during that ill-fated week when the North Star chair was broken down, so there was a twenty minute hike to get to Tamarack. However, Guest Services was kind enough to refund my 2-day lift pass and offered me a steep discount for that. We arrived a day after a huge dump of snow, so it was all worth it! Their lifts could use a major upgrade though...felt like I spent a good chunk of my day riding lifts. Lift maintenance seemed to be a big theme for RCR this season... Snowboarders be warned...practice your skating and one-foot riding because there's quite a lot of it at the top of the Easter chair. They don't groom much up there either, so enjoy the bumps once everything gets tracked out! Would have loved to try the night skiing...oh well, next time.” 1
